- Epistemological foundations:
- conceptual trap: metaphor becomes object of explanation
- a phenomenon is an experience (not something independent from us)
- scientific explanation: proposition of a generative mechanism for a phenomenon (e.g. cognition)
- generative mechanism: a mechanism that gives rise to the phenomena that one wants to explain
- notions of the explanation: abstractions of the experiential coherence of the observer
- if I do not take the observer for granted then I can ask: "How comes that I can do whatever I can do ?"
